Current Office: Board of Education
Why I serve? I was born and raised in Simsbury. Serving on the Board of Education is deeply personal to me since I attended our schools and now have the privilege of witnessing my sons receive the same quality education. I firmly believe everyone has the obligation to give back to their community and I can think of no higher calling than contributing to the academic excellence in Simsbury.
Past or present Boards/Commissions/Volunteer work: Simsbury ABC House Board of Directors, Simsbury Babe Ruth Board of Directors, Simsbury Democratic Town Committee Chairman, 8th Senate District State Central Committee, Simsbury Charter Review Commission, Simsbury Aging and Disability Commission
Employment History: Since 2004, I have served as a Director of Regulatory and State Government Affairs at Cigna.
Education: Georgetown University – Master of Public Policy, Hobart College – Bachelor of Arts
Why I love Simsbury: What’s not to love?!?! The sense of community in Simsbury is palpable and truly inspiring when you see neighbors helping neighbors and we all work towards our common goals. Simsbury clearly has the best pizza and ice cream but it’s the people who truly make this a special town.
Fun Fact: In March 2018, I had the honor and privilege of sitting next to Joe Biden on a flight from Bradley to Philadelphia. I was so starstruck that I didn’t order anything to drink in fear of spilling it on him. He was an extremely nice guy, and we enjoyed a great conversation. He left me with no doubt that he deeply cared about this country and wanted to lead it to better days.
